This year, CONNECT 2018 silent art auction fundraising & benefit cocktail party is about CONNECTing our hearts through the arts to help women medically underserved with gynecological cancers. CONNECTing fine arts to the art of giving through a silent auction fundraiser in the D.C. community helps raise money for Latino women suffering from cancer who can not afford proper health care. Through Nueva Vida, these women and their families are informed, supported, and exposed to state of the art health care and services that would otherwise be beyond their reach.
Under the curatorship of Gaby Mizes, this year the art silent auction will feature art pieces by local and international contemporary art artists with solid careers in the art world, having shown their work at galleries, art fairs, art centers and museums locally and internationally. CONNECT 2018 will also serve as a platform for emerging artists to exhibit their work while doing good to others.
CONNECT guests enjoy a lovely, cultural and fun evening animated by music, complimentary drinks and heavy hors d’oeuvres, and, of course, the company of friends and family.

Beneficiary – Nueva Vida
A percentage of the cash donations of this community event will go directly to Nueva Vida, community-based charity organization that helps Latino woman battling GYN cancer navigate them through the healthcare system, from diagnosis to treatment to post-treatment care. Most of these women have no knowledge of the disease, and most importantly, have no means to pay for the adequate treatment.
