LATINAS 4 LATINAS ANNOUNCES CONNECT 2018 on SEPTEMBER 22, 2018

Silent Art Auction Benefits Medically Underserved Latino Women in the D.C. Area

Washington, D.C., July 9, 2018 – Latinas 4 Latinas, a non-profit organization that raises funds for organizations working to provide the Latino community social, educational, and health services, announces its major 2018 fundraising event called CONNECT2018, being held at the beautiful Mexican Cultural Institute of Washington on September 22, 2018.

CONNECT 2018 will be a silent art auction fundraising & benefit cocktail party. The silent art auction will feature art pieces by local and international contemporary artists who have featured their work at galleries, art fairs, art centers and museums locally and internationally.  CONNECT 2018 guests will enjoy music, drinks, and heavy hors d’oeuvres while viewing the diverse array of art. A majority of the money raised at CONNECT 2018 will be used to support the efforts of Nueva Vida, a community-based non-profit organization that was founded in 1999 to fulfill the growing needs of the medically underserved Latino community affected by cancer in the D.C. area.

Last year, CONNECT 2017 raised over $30,000 and this year Latinas 4 Latinas’s goal is to raise $50,000. The Latinas 4 Latinas non-profit organization typically concentrates its time, effort, and resources on a single cause that it supports throughout the year. This is the second year that Latinas 4 Latinas is committed to supporting the programs and services of Nueva Vida.  Tickets to the event become available, July 22, 2018.
